Elf’n Good Dairy-free Eggnog Recipe

How to Make the Best Dairy-free Eggnog?

Love it or hate it, the season just wouldn't be the same without a tall glass of eggnog! This frothy, thick, seasonal sip typically consists of heavy dairy and, you guessed it, eggs. However, we wanted to make a dairy-free spin on this Christmas classic for a simpler sip with a nutty twist!

Instead of the heavy use of dairy for your very merry baking and blending needs, try Pressed Juicery® Non-dairy Milks for a tasty, rich alternative to your classics. Our nut milk comes in two delectably smooth flavors - Vanilla Almond Non-Dairy Milk and Chocolate Almond Non-Dairy Milk. These non-dairy milks are perfect for any of your favorite holiday blends or baked goods and excellent for those who are lactose intolerant or simply prefer dairy-free options.

Without further ado, gather everything you'll need to make our Elf'n Good Eggnog.

Ingredients

  • 3 & 1/4 Cups of Pressed Vanilla Nut Milk (about a bottle and a half)
  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Optional Garnish: Cinnamon Stick, Dairy-free Whipped Cream

Instructions

1. Heat your Pressed Vanilla Nut Milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract over low heat on the stovetop. Bring to a low simmer (make sure not to let it boil).

2. Whisk together your egg yolks and maple syrup in a separate medium bowl.

3. Microwave your honey for 5 seconds and whisk into your bowl until the mixture is fluffy and well blended.

4. Carefully take your heated blend and slowly add it to your bowl in small pours while whisking consistently (Ensure to add your milk blend in slowly to avoid curdling).

5. After blending all the ingredients, carefully pour the mixture back into the pot or pan and heat over medium-low heat on the stovetop.

6. Whisk constantly until your blend is thick enough to coat the back of your mixing tool.

7. Carefully remove the blend from heat and add it to a pitcher, jar, or glass. Ensure to seal it shut with a lid or plastic wrap.

8. Store in the fridge overnight or until chilled. Serve over ice and garnish with a dollop of dairy-free whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick.
