First and foremost, we hope that everyone is healthy and safe during this unprecedented time. Our hearts truly go out to anyone worldwide that have been impacted by this outbreak.
We wanted to follow up on our previous statement on what Pressed Juicery is doing in the middle of an ever-changing situation. We appreciate the overwhelming gratitude we’ve received from our customers, not just because our products are available but about the amazing team members that help them every day. Our doors will continue to stay open during this crisis as we believe keeping access to high nutrition is of utmost importance today. While a handful of stores may temporarily close and most of our stores will operate with reduced hours (please see updates on our Locations Page), our commitment to our customers, teams, and communities is unwavering.
Here are the additional steps we’ve taken:
Store and team members: We implemented a leave policy specific to this outbreak providing our teams consistent pay through April 5th if their store has closed. We also introduced additional paid time for full and part-time employees who feel uncomfortable interacting with the public at our stores due to the coronavirus concerns. On a case by case basis, we’ll also provide assistance to those team members who need time outside of work to address unforeseen circumstances. While none of our team members have currently tested positive for the virus, Pressed will be there in case this happens. We will provide additional paid time off for those employees to recover.
Implementation of Curbside Pick Up: We have rolled out contactless pick-up at all of our stores. When you place an order at PressedJuicery.com, you will receive an email when your order is ready for pick up with the store’s phone number. When you arrive, you may call the store and they will bring it out to you, put it in your trunk or next to the car, whatever you specify. We believe this social distancing measure alone is a great option to minimize contact between staff and customers. We encourage our customers to use this option.
Additional Social Distancing: Traditionally our stores are not gathering areas, however, in an effort to support social distancing at this time our team will be instructed to ask that only a handful of customers be in a store at a given time. The stores have also been provided with instructions regarding interactions and how to limit these at our locations including handling of payment, providing the product, etc. We have also removed all seating from our stores during this time.
Sanitization/Safeguards: We continue to employ industry-standard sanitization in stores including the wiping down of surfaces at regular at least every 30 min and after customer interactions. Team members will wash their hands at least every 30 min and after any customer interactions. While we highly encourage you to use online ordering and place orders digitally, we will still offer in-store ordering for our customers. Our teams will ask you to use social distancing measures during those transactions.
Our communities: We recognize this is a time that businesses need to support organizations on the front lines and those impacted by this crisis. We are committing to provide no less than 15,000 juices and shots to various organizations including the healthcare professionals at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles & Orange County, Los Angeles Food Bank, and Fresno Unified School District. We'll be sharing more about this on our social channels to highlight the amazing organizations that are supporting everyone.
As a reminder to our customers, please use PressedJuicery.com to place orders for pick-up or delivery. We’ve extended our no delivery fee promotion in order to ensure you can continue to have access to our nutritious products.
Our commitment remains strong to our employees, customers, and communities -- we’re here for you and will #PressOn.
